Surprise!

All puppies from the surprise litter are in their new homes living their best lives!

We had a busy night December 9, 2023 (by we, I mean Tevah). Around 4 weeks prior we noticed Tevah was gaining some weight. I thought she was just eating too many cookies and Chuck thought she was pregnant. I said that's impossible as we had kept her doggy diapers on and Teddy belly banded while they were in the same room together (we don't have a kennel. Everyone lives in one home, but we did crate Teddy when we weren't here or at night, as well as keeping him under wraps). I would let them outside separately as well. So, lo and behold Tevah was pregnant. I say "was"  because overnight she had 5 gorgeous, beautiful babies. While I'm disappointed (and confused ) as we breed every other heat cycle, the facts are the facts.

We normally make a donation of 5% from each litter to our favorite shelter. However, with this surprise litter, we donated $375 to Best Friends in memory of Olivia of Hammy and Olivia. Read all about this memorial fundraiser here or check out bestfriends.org
